This is the image i originally made the decision to use on my front cover. However unfortunately this would mean the font i want to use will not show up if i were to follow the normal codes of conventions and put it at the top of the page. If i were to place it at the bottom like i have here , it would mean taking a risk and challenging the codes of conventions. Seeing as it was a hard decision to choose which image anyway as i love them both, i decided to go with the other image, as it works much better with the font.

The two artists i have used on the contents page and the double page spread i have also decided to put on my front cover. Most magazine covers have whats inside promoted on the front. Therefore i played around with where to put the images to have a look at what the composition of the over all cover looked like. I prefer the second mock up, as in the first i don't really think the brick image over brick looks very good. It doesn't contrast very well. Therefore i will develop the second mock up.

Further Development
Tuesday, 2 February 2010

i played around with the composition again, adding some more text. i also added a competition box as many magazines have competitions inside to attract buyers. They then place information about it on the front cover so people see it and therefore want to buy it, to see if they have a chance in winning.
